Over the past 25 years, my husband and I have been around virtually every corner of the property world. I've sold new-build homes for developers, we've bought and renovated run-down properties to sell on, built and managed our own rental portfolio, created a UK home staging business and even ran our own estate agency in the Canary Islands, Spain. Property has never just been a job it's been a way of life.

That breadth of experience means I keep and eye out for the future and which direction the changes will occur. The Renters' Rights Act, arriving imminently, represents one of the most significant shifts to hit the UK lettings market in a generation. It will reshape how landlords operate, demanding a far more structured, businesslike approach to portfolio management. I've been studying its implications for a while now which is something I'm well-practised at; I recently completed a Science MSc whilst working full-time, so rigorous study holds no fear for me (well it does but I do it anyway).

Last year I made the move to work independently under the banner of The Property Experts; a decision that felt like a natural fit.

Why I Love Living in Hampshire

Sitting in one of England's great sweet spots, we are far enough from the city of London to breathe yet less than an hour from the centre. Bordered by Surrey and Berkshire, this corner of the south has a quality of life that's genuinely hard to beat.

The landscape alone is reason enough. The New Forest sweeps across the southern edge of the county, while the North Downs, open heathland, and hidden lakes make it a paradise for walkers, cyclists, riders and anyone who simply needs to escape into nature.
